Emotion for iOS

Privacy Policy for Emotion

Last updated: August 31, 2026

Emotion (“the app”) is a personal journaling and typewriter app. This policy explains what data the app handles.

What data we collect

None. Emotion does not collect, transmit, or have access to any of your data. There is no account system, no server, and no analytics or tracking of any kind built into the app.

Where your data lives

Everything you create in Emotion — your written pages, your display name, your theme preferences, and app settings — is stored only on your own device, using standard on-device local storage. It is never sent to us or to any third party, because the app has no backend to send it to.

Your name

If you choose to enter a name when first opening the app, it is used only to personalize the greeting shown to you inside the app. It stays on your device and is never transmitted anywhere.

Deleting your data

You can delete individual pages from within the app at any time. Deleting the app from your device removes all locally stored data along with it.

Third-party services

Emotion does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.

Children's privacy

Emotion does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children, since it collects no information at all.
